President Donald Trump is celebrating what he described as a major turnout for his Great American State Fair rally in Washington, D.C., claiming that at least 45,000 people attended the event earlier this week.
In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump called the rally a tremendous success, saying the crowd remained until the end of his speech because they were inspired by what he described as a vision of a “truly successful America.”
“The crowd was incredible last night, packed to the brim,” Trump wrote. “At least 45,000 people were there, with a huge television and online audience.”
While Trump praised the event’s attendance, the White House has not released official crowd estimates, and the figure has not been independently verified.
The president also used the opportunity to promote his upcoming Fourth of July celebration in the nation’s capital, promising an expanded display of military aircraft and patriotic festivities. Trump said the event will feature what he described as the largest military flyovers ever, with hundreds of aircraft representing multiple generations and capabilities of the U.S. military.
In addition to the aerial display, Trump promised an unprecedented fireworks show, claiming it would be “approximately ten times larger than any fireworks in the history of our country.” According to the president, festivities will begin in the afternoon, with his remarks scheduled for approximately 9:00 p.m., immediately before the fireworks display.
The announcement comes as Trump continues to use large public events to rally supporters and highlight themes of patriotism, military strength, and national pride ahead of upcoming political milestones.
